This unusual locomotive is one of 2 survivors in australia and 19 in the world. Its is belived that 1035 climax locomotives were produced around the world with 10 of them coming to Australia. A few years ago this locomotive was operable but is now in for an overhaul.

This locomotive is PBR's most powerful engine and came from the QGR. It was built by Walkers with the builders number of 646. It entered Trafic with Queensland Railways in may 1970. It was orignally on 3'6" but has been regauged to 2'6" for use on the PBR line. This Locomotive has since been repainted into the VR blue and gold colours and been renumbered DH31.

These 4 cars Numbered 1-4NAL came from the Mt Llyel railway in Tasmania. They were classed O in Tasmania and NBL when they arrived at PBR. They were overhauled and reclassed NAL as they are today. These Cars are used on Puffing Billys Luenchon Specail leaving Belgrave at 12:30.

This is a South African 2ft Gauge Garret bourght some time in the 1990's. It is planned that it shall be gauge converted to 2ft 6in sometime in the next 8 years so it will be ready for when G42 goes in for its 10 year overhaul. The Bogie units are sitting at emerald on NQR's as can be seen in the photos. There are past of this loco at Belgrave and Clayton. While the bulk of it is in the shed at gembrook.

The NQR/NQ's where the most numerous class on the VR narrow gauge. They were NQ's without sides and classed as NQR's with sides, although there are a number of rumors about what it meant. 1-218NQR were built at newport between 1898 and 1914, while 219-223 were built at PBR's workshops at Belgrave between 1990 and 1992 for use as passenger carriages.
