Peter Pecket in Disguise as Thomas at Emerald : 1171 (Pecket, Thomas)
This is a small locomotive that PBR have put a frame on a small green loco to make it look like Thomas the Tank Engine
129Q with 59NQR on top of it : 129Q
This is the one of a kind Narrow Gauge transfer wagon on Braod Gauge, now sitting at emerald
 
Looking up at 12A : 12A
12A was built in 1912 at the newport railway workshops. It is currently painted in a black with red trim livery for the 50th anaversery celebrations of the founding of the PBPS. UPDATE 06/11/05 12A is currently stored out of traffic Pending a major overhaul. It is unlikely it will see any service in the next 5 years.
14A in the platform at Belgrave with a train : 14A
14A was built at the newport railway workshops in 1914. This locomotive is currently in service with PBR.
 
Climax 1694 at Menzies Creek in 1994 : 1694 (Climax)
This unusual locomotive is one of 2 survivors in australia and 19 in the world. Its is belived that 1035 climax locomotives were produced around the world with 10 of them coming to Australia. A few years ago this locomotive was operable but is now in for an overhaul.

5A(14A) just outside the loco running shed : 5A
This isnt really 5A but just 14A with different number plates. This was done for a specail train later that day.
6A in the platform at Belgrave : 6A
6A was built in the newport railway workshops in 1901. I belive this is the second oldest operating locomotive in Victoria. It was released to traffic in early 2002 after a long overhaul.
 
7A coupling up to its train at Gembrook : 7A
7A was built in the newport railway workshops in 1905. It turned 100 on the 6th of may 2005 thus making it the third oldest opperating steam locomotive in Victoria.

D21 in the Belgrave Loop : D21
D21 orignally came from the TGR and was number V12 and built around 1948
 
DH31 in the Belgrave East loop : DH31
This locomotive is PBR's most powerful engine and came from the QGR. It was built by Walkers with the builders number of 646. It entered Trafic with Queensland Railways in may 1970. It was orignally on 3'6" but has been regauged to 2'6" for use on the PBR line. This Locomotive has since been repainted into the VR blue and gold colours and been renumbered DH31.
DH59 and D21 in the Belgrave loop : DH59

These 4 cars Numbered 1-4NAL came from the Mt Llyel railway in Tasmania. They were classed O in Tasmania and NBL when they arrived at PBR. They were overhauled and reclassed NAL as they are today. These Cars are used on Puffing Billys Luenchon Specail leaving Belgrave at 12:30.

Engine Units of NGG16.129 at Emerald : NGG16.129
This is a South African 2ft Gauge Garret bourght some time in the 1990's. It is planned that it shall be gauge converted to 2ft 6in sometime in the next 8 years so it will be ready for when G42 goes in for its 10 year overhaul. The Bogie units are sitting at emerald on NQR's as can be seen in the photos. There are past of this loco at Belgrave and Clayton. While the bulk of it is in the shed at gembrook.

The NQR/NQ's where the most numerous class on the VR narrow gauge. They were NQ's without sides and classed as NQR's with sides, although there are a number of rumors about what it meant. 1-218NQR were built at newport between 1898 and 1914, while 219-223 were built at PBR's workshops at Belgrave between 1990 and 1992 for use as passenger carriages. PBR now has 5NQR, 19NQ, 21NQR, 23NQR, 26NQR, 29NQR, 59NQR, 91-92NQR, 94NQR, 103NQR, 110NQR, 125NQR, 135NQR, 142NQ, 146NQR, 151NQR, 153NQR, 169NQR, 186NQR, 203NQR, 216NQR, 219-223NQR

Built by Lima Locomotive Works in 1912 as a shay type locomotive. Orignally from taiwan on the Alishan Forest Railway.

These ballast wagons have been on loan from WGR since 1997. Once 2NNN is completed it is expected that these wgons will go back to the WGR. These are the only four wheel wagons to run on the gembrook line
